Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer
Throughout the year we meet every week, in the middle of the week, at 7:30 p.m. to encourage one another and grow in our knowledge of the Lord in a group setting. This is an important time when we can develop deeper relationships and have an opportunity to go more deeply and personally into God’s word as we reflect together. We also close our meeting with open prayer. We hope that you might consider joining us and making this an important priority as a spiritual practice.
The first Wednesday of the month we meet in home groups where the study is held in local area homes.
The 2, 3 and 4 Wednesdays are held at the chapel. From March- May and Sept-Nov we have a special meeting the third Wednesday (see below).
When there is a fifth Wednesday we meet for prayer and communion.
We are currently studying the Book of Esther.
Coming in October: The Gospel of Mark.
Why not join us at Cromhall Chapel Hall – a free ‘stay and play’ where parents/carers can relax and chat whilst the children play. A great place to meet others from the community.
Loads of toys are available and there is also plenty of cake and refreshments. Near the end of each session there is also a short sing-song time and children’s Bible story.
10:15 a.m. to 12.00 every week in term time. See chapel notices (“What’s New”) for upcoming dates.
Cromhall Crafters (A community group hosted by the Chapel)

Cromhall Crafters meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the hall at Cromhall Chapel. Come along and have fun whilst meeting other women from the community. For more info contact:

Children’s/ Youth Ministry
A “jr. church” is always available during our morning services. We do not, at this point, have a regular nursery, however, we do have qualified volunteers should you visit and require this. We also have two locations where you can be with your baby in private while still listening to or viewing the service. Pastor Chris takes assemblies at local schools.
We have bi-monthly breakfasts on the last Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. to meet together as men to share in conversation over a meal (always a feast!), listen to a speaker and ask questions. Rumour is the food is great and the spiritual nourishment even greater! Meetings for 2018/19 are: October 27, *December 8 (early because of Christmas), February 23, April 27 and June 29.

Chapel Puppet Team
Our puppets help illustrate Biblical lessons for special services or occasions. They’re so much fun!
Chapel Walking Group
A couple times a year some adventurous chapel folks go out for a long walk. Currently we have been venturing out to do portions of the Cotswold way. We generally have some devotionals along the way.
Area Bible Study Programme
For many years Cromhall Chapel has held a monthly Area Bible Study to which we invite other local churches to hear a gifted Bible teacher teach us on a specific topic from God’s Word. Whether you are from the Chapel or not, we’d warmly welcome you to attend. See the 2018 schedule below:
|September 10||David Horton||Whiteshill|
|October 17||Roger Page||Bristol|
|November 21||Roger Chilvers||Gloucester|
Work in Local Schools
Several of our members, including our Pastor, take assemblies at Castle School in Thornbury. Pastor Chris also is a governor at St. Andrew’s CE School, Cromhall, and takes the weekly Collective Worship service, along with additional religious input such as enrichment afternoons.
We are a church that believes in the importance and power of prayer. We pray regularly, together, in the life of the chapel. Anyone from the chapel or community is welcome to put any prayer requests in our red prayer box by the front doors. This request will be kept confidential by the leadership and you can be assured we will pray for you.
